Computer Labs Information

There are several general access student computer labs:

  • IS General Access Computer (GAC) Labs
    • Lab A (IS 1129A) - Windows
    • Lab B (IS 1129B) - Windows
    • Lab E (IS 1129E) - Windows
    • Lab J (IS 1129J) - Macs
       
  • Cofrin Library General Access Computer (GAC) Lab
    • CL 304 - Windows

The labs listed above can be used when there is not a class scheduled in the room or when it is vacant. If none of the labs are available, please utilize our Remote Lab environment. Information can be found in this KB: Article - Remote Lab - Student Access

Students are required to log on to all lab computers using their UWGB email and password. Once logged on, they have access to core campus software, numerous instructional applications, their personal network volume (500 MB), course volumes, and network printers.

Faculty wishing to teach in a computer lab can reserve a computer lab through the University Reservations. Please contact at reservations@uwgb.edu or call 920-465-2462.


General Access Labs 

GAC Lab

The GAC Lab is located in Instructional Services 1129. The GBIT Service Desk is available to provide assistance and maintain equipment in this lab.

The IS General Access lab has three PC classrooms, Lab A, B, and E. And one Mac classroom, Lab J. IS1129J is our Mac multimedia classroom that includes video and audio editing hardware and software. There are two printers located in the IS General Access Lab. One black & white laser printer and one color printer. These are a part of the PassPrint Stations for student printing.

Cofrin Library

The second general access lab is located on the 3rd floor of the library in CL 304 (19 Windows Computers). This location black & white laser printers, color printer (standard and tabloid). Hours for this General Access lab coincide with Library hours, which can be found through this link: UW- Green Bay Libraries' Hours.

Faculty wishing to make software available to students can request that GBIT install their software in our labs. Please contact the service desk at (920)465-2309 to receive assistance or submit a software approval request here: Service - Account Request for Software
