This article describes who to contact to get support with technology related issues in classrooms

Effective starting in Fall 2012, the GBIT Service Desk will be the single point of contact for all technology related issues in classrooms.  This includes both computer related issues and classroom technology related issues such as projectors, DVD players, and control systems.  We hope this will simplify and streamline the process for troubleshooting issues that may arise our classrooms.

If you encounter a technology related issue in your classroom, please contact the GBIT Service Desk x2309. and be prepared to give the Service Desk worker the following information:

  • Your Name.
  • What room you are in.
  • The GB# of the computer if it's computer related.
  • The nature of the problem if it's non-computer related.
  • If you able to work around the issue for a while, or if it's preventing you from teaching today.

The GBIT Service Desk will first attempt to resolve your issue over the phone, and if they are unable to, they will immediately dispatch a classroom technology specialist from Academic Technology Services
