About ChatGPT Business at UW-Green Bay

UW-Green Bay provides licensed access to ChatGPT Business (previously called ChatGPT Team). This version includes enterprise-grade data protections not found in ChatGPT Personal. ChatGPT Personal is not approved for use at UW-Green Bay, as it does not meet university data protection standards.

Important: Even with ChatGPT Business protections, UW-Green Bay does not have a certification of compliance for FERPA, HIPAA, or handling personally identifiable information (PII). Do not enter confidential student, health, or sensitive personal data into ChatGPT.

To request a license, submit a request through the AI License Request (Individual) form.

Accessing ChatGPT Business

Login via Direct SSO Link

To log in, use the UW-Green Bay Single Sign-On (SSO) link:

Login via ChatGPT.com

  1. Go to ChatGPT.com.
  2. Click Log in.
  3. Enter your UWGB email address in the email box. Do not use the social login options (Google, Microsoft account, Apple, or phone).
  4. Click Continue. You will be redirected to UWGB’s familiar SSO login screen.
  5. Sign in with your UWGB credentials and complete any verification steps.
  6. After login, you will be redirected into the ChatGPT application.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

  • If you cannot access ChatGPT, close all browser tabs and attempt the login again.
  • Ensure you are using your UWGB email address at the login screen (not a personal email or social login).
  • If the issue persists, contact the GBIT Service Desk for assistance.
