PaperCut - Installing the Tabloid 11x17 Queue with Xerox Driver (Mac)

This article goes over the process of installing and modifying the print queue for the tabloid 11x17 queue to use the Xerox PrimeLink C9265 driver to get all the print options. By default, the tabloid 11x17 installs with the basic AirPrint driver, which lacks most of the print features, but we can pick the Xerox driver when installing the tabloid 11x17 queue.

Download Xerox driver

1. Go to the Xerox PrimeLink C9265 driver download page:
   https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/product/primelink-c9200-series/downloads?language=en
2. Change the Platform dropdown to macOS version that fits your device.If you are unsure, click on your Apple menu > About this Mac to see what macOS version you are on.If you are on 27+, just pick the newest macOS version listed.
3. Change the Digital Front End dropdown to be PrimeLink C9265/C9275/C9281 Integrated Color Server.
4. Change the Category dropdown to Drivers.
5. Click Apply Filters
6. There should be a macOS Print Driver Installer.Click to agree to Terms and Conditions, then click Download.
7. If there’s a prompt to Allow or Keep the file, click Allow or Keep.
8. Find the XeroxDrivers…file that was downloaded and open it.
9. A Finder window with Xerox Drivers x.x.x.pkg will appear.Double click the installer to start installing.
10. A popup saying this package will run a program to determin if the software can be installed.Click Allow.
11. Click Continue on the Welcome to the Xerox Drivers Installer window.
12. Click Continue on the Software License Agreement window.
13. Click Install on the Standard Install window.
14. Click Close on the Installation was completed successfully window.
15. It will then ask if you want to do with the installer.You may Move to Trash.

eduroam

Make sure you connected to eduroam wireless network. Student printing is only available on eduroam. See the KB on eduroam for Mac:

Install/Reinstall Tabloid 11x17 Print Queue

1. Click on Apple menu, then System Settings
2. Scroll down on the left panel to Printers & Scanners, and click it.
3. If you already have the tabloid 11x17 print queue, click on it, and click the Remove Printer button.
4. With no tabloid 11x17 printer listed, click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax button.
5. In the Add Printer window, find tabloid 11x17 in the list of printers and select it.Then change the Use dropdown to be Select Software.
6. A Printer Software window will pop up.Search for c9265 at the top and select Xerox PrimeLink C9265 from the list.Click OK.
7. Back on the Add Printer window, you should now see the Use dropdown lists Xerox PrimeLink C9265.Click Add.
8. Go back to the Printers & Scanners in System Settings.Click on the tabloid 11x17 printer to make changes.
9. On the tabloid 11x17 window that popped up, click Options & Supplies button.
10. Another window pops up over the last window.Click on the Options tab at the top.Change the Finisher dropdown to be BR Booklet Maker Finisher.Change the Hole Punch Module dropdown to be 2 and 3 Hole Punch Unit.Click OK
11. Back on the tabloid 11x17 window, click Done.

The tabloid 11x17 print queue is now installed and properly configured.  When you submit a print job, it’s going to ask for username and password.  Those will be your campus username (first part of your email address) and campus password. 

Releasing a print job at the Xerox

1. At the Xerox printer, swipe your student ID on the card reader.
2. Tap on Papercut MF.
3. Tap on Print Release.
4. Select your job and print.
