eduroam - Connecting on Android

This document details how to set up your Android device to use the eduroam network.

NOTE: Due to variations in Android devices, not every Android-based device will work in the same way.  Therefore, IT cannot guarantee every device can be made to work. If you have problems connecting, please stop by the GBIT Service Desk: uwgb.edu/servicedesk

Android 6 and up

1. In General Settings, make sure WiFi is turned on.

2. Select "eduroam."

3. Configuration information:

  • EAP Method: PEAP

  • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2

  • Anonymous Identity: (make sure this is blank)

  • Identity: Campus email (e.g.boerkj99@uwgb.edu)

  • Password: Campus password

  • Certificate: Use System Certificate

  • Certificate Status: Request Certificate Status

  • Domain: uwgb.edu

Under Advanced Options, make sure that "Use Device MAC" is selected
