Return of Technology
All computers and computer peripherals purchased by UW Green Bay, regardless of funding (including external billings), are the property of the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and must be returned to IT when it is either end of life or no longer being used.
Employee Separation Checklist
On the Employee Separation Checklist, located on the HR website, all UW Green Bay technology (including grant funded items) that a separating employee has MUST either be returned to the employees direct supervisor or to IT. Upon return, if it is returned to the supervisor, it is the supervisors responsibly to notify IT that they are in possession of the technology that was assigned to the employee who is leaving.
If a supervisor is unaware of all the technology an employee has assigned to them, they should contact GBIT with the employees name and asking what technology is assigned to that employee as they are leaving the university.
Who Needs to Return Technology Upon Leaving the University
All technology, no matter how the employee is separating from the university, must be returned upon separation of the university, this includes retirements.
