POI Designation
When a non-employee needs a UWGB email account or network access:
1. Individual contacts HR via email (hr@uwgb.edu) to request a guest email account/network access.
2. HR sends the POI form (Word doc) to the potential users supervisor.
3. The supervisor fills out the form and returns it to HR.
4. HR evaluates request and determines if the account/access should be granted based on account access types.
5. HR enters the POI form data into HRS.
6. HRS feeds into SIS via scheduled manual and automatic processes.
7. After the account is in SIS, System Admin automatic processes take that data and make the account in Active Directory.
8. The UWGB employee responsible for the account receives the user name/password notification emails from IT the following morning and shares that with the individual.
9. UWGB employee supervisor responsible for the account notifies HR when the account access should be inactivated.
