Reporting an Outage

In the event of an outage, we are working diligently to resolve it as quickly as possible. Please contact the GBIT Service Desk by filling out this form or by phone at (920) 465-2309 to report or check the status of an outage.

Required Information for Outage Reporting

When reporting an outage, be prepared to supply the following information to the best of your ability:

  1. Name of the person reporting the outage.
  2. Room number and building where the outage is occurring (if applicable).
  3. Specify the type of issue (e.g., software outage, wireless (IoT or eduroam), wired (ethernet) connection, etc.).
  4. Devices experiencing the outage (if applicable).
  5. Time when the issue began.
  6. Description of the problem or any error messages.
  7. Indicate if the outage is affecting an individual, a room, or an entire building.
  8. Any troubleshooting steps already attempted.
