Accessing the GBIT Self Service Portal

Portal Access Instructions

The link to our portal is GBIT Self Service Portal (www.uwgb.edu/servicedesk). It is open to guests, university employees, and students. (Guests have limited access).

  1. Navigate to the Portal: Visit GBIT Self Service Portal to get started.
  2. Login Instructions:
    • University Employees and Students: Use your university credentials to log in.
    • Guests: Limited access is available without login.

Features of the GBIT Self Service Portal

Check Status of Existing Tickets

  • University Employees and Students:
    • View your ticket requests and check the status of your existing tickets.
    • Directly contact the technician handling your request through the portal.

Complete a Service Request Form

  • Submit your request through the Service Catalog available in the GBIT Self Service Portal. The request will go directly to the IT team, ensuring that it is handled efficiently.

Additional Features

  • Knowledge Base: Access various articles and FAQs to troubleshoot common issues.
  • Service Catalog: Explore and request services available to you.
  • Announcements: Stay updated with the latest IT announcements and news.

Visit In-Person

  • Location: Visit the GBIT Service Desk at IS 1150.
  • Operating Hours:
    • Semester: Monday through Thursday from 7:45 AM to 6:30 PM, and Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
    • Summer and Breaks: Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
